Tonight's Only in Miami Show featured Chef Norman Van Aken discussing his new restaurant/lounge cooking school concept coming soon at the Wynwood Arcade. His book Norman Van Aken's Florida Kitchen celebrates fusion cooking in all of Florida's varied regions. Roben Farzad is an NPR broadcaster whose book Hotel Scarface took twenty years to research and publish. His vivid firsthand interviews shed light on Coconut Grove's infamous Mutiny Hotel-era when a nightclub dominated both the who's who of Miami's nightlife scene and simultaneously hosted its underbelly. Gangsters and NFL players, hustler and rock stars, and the real Cocaine Cowboys used to inhabit Miami's gritty counterpart to New York City's Studio 54.
