10/21: Hospitals are reporting an alarming spike in children with RSV. Iran sends troops to Crimea to help Russia

from CBS Mornings on the Go · host CBS News

An urgent new warning for parents about a respiratory virus that's hitting infants and young children harder and earlier than usual this year. It's called RSV and it's basically the common cold. Cases have more than doubled in 25 states over the last month, and it's putting a big strain on hospitals. For the second time this year, Britain's Conservative Party is choosing a new prime minister. Liz Truss, who took over last month, said yesterday she will resign after a series of policy mistakes led to financial turmoil and a party revolt. Steve Bannon could become the first person with close ties to former President Trump to be sent to prison in the fallout from the January 6th attack. He faces sentencing for defying a subpoena from the Select Committee investigating the assault on the Capitol. A U.S. intelligence officer's wife who killed a British teenager in a car accident, then fled the country and claimed diplomatic immunity, has pleaded guilty to causing his death.
