Juleroser, valmuesøstre og japansk skogsvalmue deler oppmerksomhet med nydelige teppedannende, blå primulaer og spennende frøplanter som snart skal vise om de blir like fine som Elly håper på. Selv er Elly kunstner, og hun finner både inspirasjon og materialer til kunsten sin ute i hagen.
