from On the Mark from Newsradio 1070 WKOK · host Newsradio 1070 WKOK
Marv Rudnitsky, Selinsgrove, attorney, founder and retired partner Rudnitsky, Hackman and Potter Law Group, active contributor to the work of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and American Bar Association, former educator Sigmund Weis School of Business, on the US Supreme Court nomination of Amy Coney Barrett. We’ll discuss the hearings this month, efforts to delay the hearings, how long they may go and if results of the election will impact the hearings, or the US Senate vote. We’ll ask about big issues that may make it to the court; abortion related cases, Obamacare, election disputes, etc. What about the many possible scenarios for a conservative court, Dem or GOP Pres., Dem or GOP Senate and a Dem house…how does all this interplay with packing the court. We’ll ask what impact packing the court may have on the sitting justices—are they as likely to be as extreme if their views are prompting the naming of more justices.
