#10 - A Hospice Caregiver - Matinay Justice - "Humanity's Soul"

from Coffin Talk · host Mike Oppenheim

Matinay Justice is a 34-year-old Cambodian American living in Seattle with their husband and 6-year-old daughter. Having worked in home care and hospice as a nursing assistant for the past 14 years, Matinay has heard many stories of grief and joy from people reflecting on life at the end of life. Compelled by their family’s experience of suffering and survival during the Khmer Rouge regime and genocide of the 1970s, it became a personal calling to bear witness to the living and the dying as a keeper of stories and internal worlds. Come hear how all these experiences led them to the conclusion that we are nothing more than the stories we tell, to ourselves, and others.Find us, follow us, like us, and subscribe!Web: mikeyopp.comTwitter: @coffintalkpod IG: @coffintalkpodcastFB: coffintalkpodcastSupport the show This is a public episode.
