Today's Shirtanias and Simeon Yud Beis of the Gersah Kodesh. Yesterday we learned that acts of tzedakah bring about shalim, peace between spiritual forces above, and peace within us, purifying the good from the evil. This is done through drawing from a great divine level which can unite opposites. This is caused by Maisa HaTzedakah.

The act of giving tzedakah is something which is constant and continuous for a Jew and does not require much effort. Because our godly soul originates from the attributes of Hashem, as we say in B'ruch HaShacher, that Hashem blew the neshama within us, meaning that the neshama is a part of Hashem. In the case of Hashem's Midas, the divine attributes, the attribute of kindness overpowers the attribute of judgment. Therefore, it is within the nature of our soul to be compassionate and giving.

It is not a novelty. This is referred to as the act of tzedakah, Maisa HaTzedakah. A Vaita HaTzedakah, on the other hand, denotes effort and toil, to go against one's nature, like someone who labors in the study of Torah prayer. In the case of the giving of tzedakah, this means for a person to give beyond the nature of his godly soul.

As the Gemara says, to give tzedakah even 100 times.
