We have touched on Fentanyl and the opioid epidemic. This week we interview Ben Westhoff , author of Fentanyl Inc. Westhoff has become the go-to expert on the subject of fentanyl and new drugs. His credits include consultation with top government officials, including the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, and the U.S. State Department. He has been a guest on  The Joe Rogan Experience  and NPR Ben’s extensive research involved tapping into the history and stories of  various chemists, drug makers, drug dealers and criminals in the field. He went so far as  creating an online persona on the dark web and then managed to  infiltrate a Chinese drug lab while posing as a drug dealer! Say what??! Ben’s book details the emergence of fentanyl and other novel psychoactive substances not just in the US but around the world.
