10 key herbs for your hormonal health from menarche through menopause

from Herbal Womb Wisdom · host Kay'aleya Hunnybee

If you're familiar with my style, you know I'm not a this-for-that kind of herbalist so when I was asked the question a couple weeks ago, "what herbs do you recommend for hormonal health?" My answer was unsurprisingly, "it depends."But I wanted to create something to answer that question that also incorporates the concept of WHY we would choose each of these herbs. Not just what the herbs are, not just their actions, but how they support hormonal health from a more wide-lens perspective. So I referred back to the 5 herbal pillars of hormonal health that I covered last summer, and chose a range of some of my favorite herbs that cover each of those, so you have a few herbs you can begin to explore depending on what symptoms and patterns you see showing up in your body hormonally. No matter what menstrual challenge or peri-menopausal weirdness you've got going on, it's likely at least one of these herbs may be an ally for you. In the end, it's less about the exact symptoms and more about what's underlying your imbalances that matters. And you'll hear all about that and more in this episode.Listen to learn:why hormonal health is more complex than just addressing symptomsreview the 5 herbal pillars of hormonal health10 of my favorite herbs to incorporate into hormonal health formulas specific indications, energetics and insights on each herbhow tracking your symptom patterns helps you choose herbsResources:FREE download: 10 key herbs for your hormonal healthSign up for the Pelvic Health Summit (March 24th-26th)Episode 4: Herbal spotlight on TulsiEpisode 11: Herbal spotlight on dandelionEpisode 17: How stress messes with your hormonesEpisode 22: Herbal Spotlight on nettlesEpisode 30: 5 herbal keys for hormonal healthEpisode 32: Herbal spotlight on motherwortEpisode 40: Herbal spotlight on schisandraEpisode 44: Bitters and hormonal balance? If you loved this episode, share it with a friend, or take a screenshot and share on social media and tag me @herbalwombwisdom.  And if you love this podcast, leave a rating & write a review!
