Really good drill good drill good real good real good real good real good magnetic really good real good real good real good real good real good real good real good real good simulations That's right Ladies and gentleman hello and welcome to real good show episode 10 we're into the double digits this week America's best worst canadians sports podcasts technically according to the charts if you look right now We are ahead of CFL podcasts this week, so we're doing well boys boys Justin Morris that with you as always and I'm joined by an extra giggly bunch at the moment. Oh my god. Introduce yourselves. Stephen Hack and I'm John Cullen and I don't have anything to say about your intro this week because we've been Stefan and I blew it there that was our sixth or fifth group of the intro just kept laughing and honestly that's probably the best it's gonna get yeah so like you said we are above the CFL podcast this week so and they got kind of added us yeah kind of started it like an inverted word yeah I mean we did say they are the preferred podcast of Hitler so no we said that they were pro Hitler yeah which is dead yeah and I also I actually didn't say that Hitler loves their podcast oh did you okay yeah probably one can only assume that's how we rose in the charts is that that's probably what a lot of podcasts down hell listen to CFL podcast yeah well that's why I listen to hell is you listen to a CFL podcast on loop Hitler didn't know like that'd be so weird right because he's been in health theoretically for 60 years and then all of a sudden the start of the year didn't die in 1955 45 so yeah sorry 70 years yeah that's why don't teach math and history or history yeah so no I knew we died in 45 I just was doing the math wrong damn it but yeah no that's just give you a matter like whatever his version of hell was it's like you know he's getting burned alive or in a vat of acid or something like that then all of a sudden at the start of 2015 there's just like a rapping scratch sounds Satan locks in change of plans change of plans these guys are talking about the CFL for more than five minutes in a row so we're gonna put this on the pod or on your playlist and I think honestly there has to be at least one Saskatchewan Rough Riders like truth or out there that believes that their poor start to the season is somehow Hitler's fault the record I'd like to see a felt but I also like making fun of it yeah I enjoy watching it and going to the games is fun it's a great atmosphere live in the building but you know if you guys want to want to go to town on it I can't say no I hate it I think it's a shitty football league for players who can't stop doing drugs can't find success in America and then some of them and then for CIS football players who just aren't fulfilled with their job as the local clerk at the recycling depot they decide that they're like oh shit maybe all they'll go into that and have a good time but Hitler likes it too well and also that of course we know very anti-hitter on the spot that guy yeah it's bad you know fair catches worst like most hated part about football so he loves rusches are rusches are a single point yeah I I'll watch the I'll watch the great cup and that's about where it ends for me and even then it's tenuous well I mean we've kind of talked on the show before about what the problems with the CFL well the great up halftime shows the last I was at the last two great cups in Vancouver and it was well three I guess one of them was I was like I'd be like 2005 I think and it was back before they had renovated BC place right so the acoustics were even worse right which is for those of you don't know BC place used to be made out of concrete and marshmallows still is and that's just made out of concrete yeah I was made out of retractable marshmallows yeah exactly but it was a black I piece and I was there with my dad and my like 80 year old grandpa and he was as confused as I've ever seen him because it's just a black I piece where we were up in like the upper bowl and you can't hear a word they're saying so it's just these this indiscriminate screaming from and like it's the CFL there was like maybe two people there like the black I'd be yeah and then Nickelback was in 2011 I think yeah that's right yeah but yeah but when you're like basically forced to watch yeah yeah the crowd loved it I just imagine dragons last year and I can't remember what year it was but it seems like they have like had the perfect band there to play the halftime show except they put them in like the opening warm-up slot before the game yeah instead like sheepdogs have been in that slot hotels have been in that slot Tokyo police club I think and that's like the band that should be front and center the arcels wrote a song about Hamilton and it's great it's one of their best songs I legitimately love it I don't listen to it just out of principle because it's about the CF but I have heard that it's a good it's basically it you know it sums up a passion for sport favorite our kelson exactly that's your comment get go wrong there but before we go to far off track here boys we do have some thank yous to open up the show because we did you India thank you thank you that's the warm-up for this year's break up but we did we we did we did we on campaign last week and a surprising number of still looking for a few more players to join us where the goal is to pick the worst possible players to fill out your fantasy roster so but in any case let's get to these thank yous these are early R. K. I have to say my girlfriend was so disappointed to learn that the actual Renee Bork does not listen and contribute to our show I was disappointed at that as well Renee Bork is a very funny guy at Twitter part of the hockey tournament and I think yeah so what's your mantra all fan I don't know I'm not sure it's my work yeah good for you good for you Phil Partridge for being one sixth of the famous singing family and also for donating to this podcast and anytime you would like to contribute Danny Bonaducci as a guest to this show we'd be happy to have him on thank you Phil Partridge good for you and good for you Paul Heck not just for donating to the show but for donating your sperm to an egg a long time ago I created one of the co-hosts of the program well actually I was a top two I'm serious I like well yeah yeah I'll just cut all that out I'm super awkward and now I got I joke about that all the time no that's that's cool yeah yeah yeah God what can we talk about it a little bit was it like a basket story how did it no it's just like it's on purpose okay I was like fine to floating down a river yeah that's kind of what I some kind of like romantic story yeah yeah this is all bureaucratic super boring yeah well shout out to Paul holy crap I was so awesome like we've spent so much time together but I've never seen like a picture of your parents or anything where I might have been able to like infer that data but well no he's they both have really big heads to I think that you're bad look like you sir does yeah okay well okay thanks Paul hack is my turn I think it's mine so thank you to Nick and it's at Megaladork on Twitter San Jose Sharks fan very funny guy very big supporter the show who's who tweeted this week that he supports the show because the Canucks are garbage and encourages you all that's why I support the show yeah and I'm basically on the show because I hate the Canucks and so yeah Nick and I've been getting along very well recently so good for Nick and thank you good for your neck good for you Nick oh boy sure give me the hardest name okay so I'm here it's pretty yeah well Nick names easy to say shout out to a gay 10 do gah I'm guessing is how that's pronounced it could be just do gets like if it's a like bastardized English pronunciation of the word either way if you're listening to this podcast in Regina it's Gaiton doo-gis and if you're listening to this podcast in Quebec it's gay time doo-gah and he is also known as AIDS patient zero so he wrote we didn't write that yeah he wrote that he asked to be called because we said that you could be thanked in any way you wanted to on the podcast if you donated to our patreon he was really really took advantage of it yeah yeah I yeah I don't know it's a weird thing to like brag about I guess because that sort of means that you like had sex with a monkey but like good for you I mean my understanding of AIDS is very limited I'm pretty sure that's how it started so thanks good for you AIDS patient zero and finally good for you Sam Anderson friend of the show donor to the show the lovely funny Sam Anderson who's also a very big CFL fan so she's probably gonna listen to love all this Hitler chat off the hop but also a donor to the show and we're very appreciative to every single one of you if you want to get your name read on the show in a similar manner to what we all just enjoyed it's easy to do patreon.com slash a real good show we're a bunch of shills we are shills we are shills I think I don't think I've ever listened to a podcast that takes that long to show but for us we made it funny though we didn't make it funny there's like a bombshell yeah there was also yeah cuz like you normally on podcasts when they start to advertise things I just skip it I just hit that 15 second skip ahead button until I get to where they're not doing it and people are gonna miss out on that huge that huge whatever that I was cuz because I'm gonna make you rewind yeah rewind I was so bomb that was awesome cool well good talk this has been real good show thank you for tuning in we'll see you again never donor so thank you donors I know we do have some topics lined up today we could talk about how this is episode 10 but we did actually make it to attend yeah and this is like our opening was like Brad Hart versus Owen Hart at WrestleMania 10 better than the rest of the show you can just turn it off now it's not getting any better but this came out like pretty much right after we dropped the last episode and seemed like something that we definitely should talk about I know John was pretty jazzed to get it mentioned on the program of Andrew Kane making headlines again not for a trip to Las Vegas but for something that he did in the Los Angeles area of West Hollywood right on the sunset strip if I'm not mistaken yeah he was in some relational difficulties was a Vander Kane when you're looking for the Buffalo Sabres as of this season we'll play his first games with savers before too long so shout out to all our Buffalo listeners cuz I know we have some we have a few yeah nothing else I hope you treat him better than Winnipeg did shouldn't be too different no it should not be difficult at all but this had nothing to do with you know fan controversies or anything he just was in a bit of a rough patch with his girlfriend and to win her back he did what he does so often he pulled a pretty major power move here by putting out basically an apology billboard advertising his girlfriend's modeling service I suppose Maritigan is her name and just put a big billboard of her face and said love Evander with her name and modeling rep and all that stuff so I think he's trying to get her some work and also saying hey sorry about whatever that thing I did what I'm wondering what it was yeah when I was it like I thought they I thought they said what it was I thought wasn't it like oh shoot it was something and then he also had like a string of like aggressive tweets against her like oh he was like thank God to be rid of that well yeah back or whatever it's some social media post it's about shedding dead weight yeah definitely did and then he spent a money on a billboard in their back on the sunset strip most people can't do that yeah yeah I mean I've only done it once before and it was not as effective as this but it's weird because like when the girl that you're trying to win back is not someone who would benefit from having their face on a billboard they don't care as much like I didn't have like a model yeah you know like I didn't really had there wasn't anything they were promoting it was just kind of like just their face yeah I'm like from advertising her modeling okay I love you and I'm sorry yeah kind of cute but also I wonder if you've figured out that money isn't a phone yet yeah that's why I had to put the billboard on he kept trying to call her on money just a fuck are you wasn't working back to me yeah I've been dialing your number your number in the Benjamin Franklin's face for hours nothing's happening what the hell your numbers 100 100 100 100 100 I feel like he's like like you know people want him to be a power forward on the ice that's kind of his skillset and I love a Vanderkend I always have not just the great I was like from Vancouver and played for the Vancouver Giants and this just seems like a pretty I like that he knocked out that yeah that was great too but like you know it seems like most of his power moves come off the ice in circumstances like this like I love I know a lot of people especially in Winnipeg people who listen to you know what's the guy who writes the columns there yeah lawless yeah lawless is just hates about your cane and doesn't wrestle in yeah anyone who has as a person of color who plays with the chains of the air yeah which hey Winnipeg that's how you do apparently we had a question last week what your favorite sports photo was I don't think we actually talked about it on the air but it's the cane punching cook photo okay like you've seen it right probably a long time yeah but it's just so beautiful yeah you can see his jaw getting like rearranged like the knocked out punch yeah it's the instant he was knocked out and he also used to play for my second favorite team the Atlanta thrashers so that's part of why I really are second I love I love I love I'll be a couple Chuck okay yeah and I you know you like you did not follow him to New Jersey you like looking like a giant version of a grade six girls binder the baby blue with navy blue accents which is like weird writing all over it yeah not not not a great look but I just love like to me the way he pulled the shoot on like bailing on the Jets last year was you know as off the ice about as close to like a Todd Bertuzzi in his prime one hand on the stick holding two defenders off you while they're climbing on your back power move of all power moves because he was their best player he was like carrying them on his back towards a playoff spot basically and his team betrayed him stabbed him in the back for wearing a track suit to like a team meeting or something yeah you know you're like a sports team right yeah you can play a track especially an NHL team like NHL players will wear dress you know and like they all wear suits but like other than that they like any show players explicitly where where suits to games and then branded close like with their own teams logo on it yeah that's it or their own for like Cody Hudson has his like right their own like brand which if you get a chance look at off because he's wearing like the biggest pants I've ever seen nice I love it he's trying to bring extreme jeans back yeah but yeah I can't went into the showers to take a shower when he came back out the team had like slashed up his track suit and he didn't have any clothes anymore so way to go boys you sure showed him angered your best player and while you're pushing for a playoff spot they eventually made the playoffs without him but I do love the way that he was just like plain injured as well and was like you know what I put my body on the line every night for the good of this team if that's how you're gonna treat me fuck it I'll just have my surgery right now yeah fucking luck making the playoffs without me yeah I was dope and now he gets to play with Jack Eichl yeah Sam Reinhardt yeah they're gonna be fun to watch though the savers are gonna be so much fun to watch yeah I'm not gonna watch them but presumably they'll be fun so I feel like it's a kind of a similar power move in the same way that he just put his team on blast by doing that to put up a billboard whatever it's good for you yeah good for you man get that billboard up there get that relationship going and it seemed like it worked yeah they're back together like the next night they were like photographed together at a movie premiere so she talked to like TMZ sports yeah about how excited she was like so cute and like it's very sweet I'm pretty sure she's like 21 so that like that also plays into it's like oh my god I'm like on a bill of art but can be a bill about it's like so crazy I don't even know who did it like it's like I don't did my modeling company pay for what does it does it love it does it's just so which would be a command and not an autocraft love of Andrew it's best for your career if you love a vendor like that like it's just so like sweet and I'm building for enough my fans oh yeah oh speaking of young love we have a bit of a bit of an update on life on the real good show official tennis player who was curious like as soon as we named him the real good show for you just all over the yeah everywhere everyone got a real good show bump yeah and it's you know it's so refreshing to be able to have such an impact on the sports world and yeah Nick Kirios I mean what a week he was bounced from the first round of the US Open by Andy Murray to be fair very tough draw on his first round match up 31 yeah and then he played mixed doubles with Jeannie Bouchard and we were we had some thoughts last week as far as how they were gonna fair as a yeah and then it worked out like everyone kind of wasn't sure what was going on there was rumors that they were only playing together because they're both like young signed athletes of Nike like yeah very marketable like it's done yeah and then they just ended up having like the most fun tennis match of the last decade where they were just like making fun of each other having a good time out of the court they won their match and then afterwards presumably spent so much time making out that by the time Jeannie got to her ice bath all the lights are out and then she slipped on the floor and got a concussion is that how it happened yeah she was concussed she was concussed we saw the video if you haven't seen it her walking yeah her stumbling into the to the Arthur to the Arthur Ash tennis grounds they're flushing park or whatever that's called and she was just going in there to be checked by a doctor and was very concussed but yes the official report was that she was the last woman left in the locker room so when she went to go to the ice bath all the lights are out no it's still in the top yeah yeah it melted ice cubes were in there for so long they jumped out of the tub and sort of like an animal they got became animated by Toy Story fantastic yeah exactly jumped out of the tub and then caused her to slip on the floor in the dark and hit her elbow and head and she looked like like a hangover Sunday it was like no it was like a perp walk almost she had her like hood up sunglasses down she's covering her like escorting her to me that seems like the kind of outfit you went for like Sunday brunch it was like a perp walk if you knew you're going to jail for 20 years so you got hammered well she turns into like the wrong door whatever yeah it has to like like her it looked like I think it was her mom was like steering her like like she couldn't even figure out which way to walk she's definitely very she's definitely very concussed so who knows exactly how it happened that's the explanation we're being given I know that it could be logical I mean the the white caps had an injury a couple years ago where a midfielder Nigel Rio Koker was anebriated and tripped over a bike rack and and well reports are that you either tripped over it or had a fight with it leaving it to be a human being who knows what exactly happened I have heard that he didn't walk into it and then like basically flipped right over it yeah yeah I smacked like you got a concussion in his whole head was like scaries bald and like his whole head and forehead and all around his eye and stuff was scarred he missed like a month and they just told it they're like yeah he's tripped on a bike rack which is awesome so like you know we're we're kind of in this day and age used to teams being like really cagey yeah but I believe that this seems to be a pretty logical explanation what happened to genie I don't know what the lights are I guess yeah I don't know why she didn't turn the lights on I guess yeah or like why they wouldn't be like remote sensor yeah you figure they would have that kind of thing but it's tragic because it you know put a halt to their their boss career yeah well and genie herself has had a very tough year had rattled off three impressive wins at the US Open and was looking good and then and then that happens well tough but we like over here we think of her as like Canada's sweetheart of tennis but you were reading about how she has a perception outside of Canada as being like the female you see like spoiled and bratty that's yeah super weird but it makes me really happy because it allows us to name her artificial female tennis I mean Canadian yeah I mean in Canada she's beloved and I don't know it's weird because I was like you know reading these articles about how like cocky she is and stuff like that but I don't really get that like obviously she's confident yeah with the handshake thing I guess yeah with with Belgium and the Davis cup she refused to shake her opponent's hand before the match she's like 21 years old exactly she's also young and and yeah I don't know I just seem like she was doing a good job of keeping Nick curious in check yeah yeah like I saw a video clip of her basically just being like and you know what this is I'll say it as a man sometimes you know woman to do this for you just to she was telling him like you're good you're good you don't need to do this don't do this oh yeah you're good all the time yeah we need to be told to stop being stupid absolutely and she seemed like she's doing a great job of that totally so her influence will be missed on Nick curious I'm sure but hopefully they'll get back together and do it again so hopefully she doesn't get concussed again from the real good show bump exact she has a real good bump on her it's not a metaphorical bump it's just an actual bump yeah I was honestly I thought that that was just gonna be an explosive situation that curious is just kind of like he's toxic he's like I don't know he's nitro glycerin he's just gonna go off at any moment so it's kind of surprising that that worked out as nicely as it did and they're pretty disappointing yeah we'll never know what they might have done next till the next yeah until the next open yeah which I don't even know Australia Australia open will be the next one but if it is truly a Nike publicity stunt they wouldn't choose to have them play together in Australia because the games are on it like two in the morning in the US so makes sense yeah of course I was gonna say that but it's possible that he was just like you know trying to kind of cozy up with the whole why wouldn't you if you're Nick curious why wouldn't you be doing that I would do that all day he was probably like called Nike and was like yo let's see what we can do you guys game for publicity stunt you like make an ad here with both of us in it spend a few days filming it what do you say Nike huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh my favorite part of that whole thing was that she tweeted him that they got into mixed doubles too because it was like they didn't announce they were playing together until like a couple days before the event and it was announced because she just tweeted at Nick curious hey we got in mixed doubles BTW so it seemed like almost like maybe she meant to DM him or something yeah but yeah it was so that was pretty great as well definitely just by the way oh by the way we're in mixed and of course Nick curious of course is a prominent featured player on the real good show because he came from the story ranks of the clip of the week my favorite segment of the week which we have a pretty good one this week we now kind of on Twitter I did anyways what it was gonna be basically a week ago so people have had some time to do it for themselves and and yes get used to living in a post clip of the week world where this is our clip of the week you may be familiar with something called deflate gate it's kind of the most boring scandal it's so stupid for history deflate gate actually describes your emotions when you're being told what it is yeah yeah I'm really deflated this is boring shit yeah I can't tell if it will actually starts and we'll still be talking about it yes well because this is I think at least probably more seasons in a row but definitely this will be the second season where like in a big way Roger Goodell as commissioner of the League is just casting a Paul yeah over the entire sport that he regulates they should rename him Roger bad del right I can just end the show right there getting the bad one out of the way for both of us a one punnery over here John had that written down in front of him yeah exactly I actually got a tattoo of it just to remind myself it's kind of like even good else like most boring scandal ever like I just can't even like you know even if you want to punish the Patriots they already won the Super Bowl so there's nothing you can do yeah it's just like a I wouldn't love a world where the Super Bowl was just taken from them in a public ceremony like owner has to really hand the trophy back to Roger again well no it'll have to be like a rewind of their celebration ceremony so like it'll get passed around among the teammates and then back up onto the stage the owner has it and then has to take it down from above said and give it back yeah God I would not speak enough Gaddal before we get into the clip he is like not even attending League events at the moment in fear that he will be a distraction I don't think you won't be yeah you're not gonna be the opening game because that's in it's in New England okay yeah playing in but like here's the thing that he's been booed as the commissioner of the NHL for almost two decades except for when the Kings won the cuff because Kings fans were too stupid to know what to do with the fact that like whether you like that but or not it's you cannot deny aside from the lockout so the NHL has gotten better under his range yeah unequivocally he's just he plays the heel yeah but as a businessman I'm sure he's he's good yeah exactly and he leans into being the heel he loves to be yeah and get down let's off I'm gonna be booed I can't go there that's gonna be terrible really good to go down there's about the best thing about me on ESPN again what am I gonna do that is that droopy dog I was I was detecting more notes of like fog horn like or how very so I'm very confined with a very hard I guess I don't know I guess that's Roger again oh who can I find her for me as we now but yeah so he he was now every single decision that he's made discipline wise is being called into question because Tom Brady appealed his suspension and he won his appeal and this is of course big news in Boston especially Boston where where they love Tom Brady and the Patriots and are not such fans of Roger Goodell what at the moment no including this exchange from Boston TV which happens to be the real good show clip okay what else do you do my friend how are you gonna get him out he's gonna get the other one I'm sorry I know I'm sorry I'm gonna be like the truth there you go discussion on Boston television the big board in the background behind them is ranking the Patriots rivals and number one is the league itself so yeah that was I like that he just explicitly says murder yeah take him out take care of yeah like even when I'm talking about Spezza I say like take care of yeah it's a joke by the way it's a con it's yeah it's hard for Stephanie come down too hard yeah because I know where this guy's coming from situation feel like I've been here before all kinds of things of the Lucas Biza which is his name by the way just a clarify for listeners Luca L U C A it's amazing how many people think his name is Lucas when they look at you easy yeah Louisiana easy but yeah you are you are our murder threat experts definitely what are your feelings on that well I think you went a little too far because he said why don't we hire someone to murder him there's also on television yeah a lot of that a few hundred people listen to that barely beat see and on the podcast it's audio so I can be like oh that was just doing an impression of me although we just heard his good television so no one believe it I'm not going to believe you actually an accurate impression but on TV it's like okay well like clearly you said that you called for Roger Gaddell's murder yeah this is NBC Sports in the Boston area and I my favorite part of it is the way his co-host is not like taking a back at all is not stunned like if that happened to me on live TV I'm that co-host I am just trying to distance myself from that as much as my my understanding the side con you exactly exactly and this guy just totally leans in and is like well probably has a great life insurance for me we probably go a lot of money from that well let's do it I really appreciate the honesty to be honest I love it yeah we've talked about this in the past just the call for honesty in general that's about as honest again let's murder that's pretty good yeah let's be let's kill him murder him with a gun that's great and yeah it is good that he said murder because if he were to now kill Gaddell it would officially qualify as murder because there is pre-medication yeah yeah so that's good that he actually understands the law as well I think he is gonna kill him though he was just gonna hire someone oh that's right he said we could hire someone to murder what she's basically putting out an open yeah there's an open contract on Patrick yeah it's interesting I think I probably said it like before that I want to kill like a player on the opposing team or whatever but to just cut like TV though it's pretty yeah that's another that's and I think on TV you're supposed to be at least somewhat impartial which really if you're willing to murder I feel like that's not very good well their Boston accents are pretty thick too so I think we know where their allegiances lie on that one but I'm like them apples I'm hoping that this is not a Boston I wasn't trying to do that this will be the plot for John to I got a number how do you like them apples they're making a sequel to John Wick and hopefully it will be that John Wick picks up the contract on murder Patrick at the house I would I would like Mike Vick killed his dog that would be like an exciting like us like the first act is just him killing Roger Giddell and then the second act is him going to those bosses it'd be like okay I did it like I want my money and they're like that was never an official thing and the second act is him like kidnapping and torturing their families to get money for the contract and then the third act I don't know it's a romantic comment he's coming for you sir viral marketing for yeah exactly I still haven't seen the first one that's fantastic it's amazing it's so good don't get attached to the puppy for in the first ten minutes of the movie all right it's my favorite cutest puppy I've ever seen it's don't get to catch my favorite movie where a wife and dog died in the first five minutes that's fair enough I mean I watched all of Marley and me and I did not get attached to Marley whatsoever so it should be no yeah I remember there was a Marley and me ad on a bus stop this is a few years ago and someone just spray painted on the dog dies it's great it's vandalism I don't like if you couldn't walk like if you couldn't figure out that the dog was gonna die based on the trailers and stuff like you don't go into that kind of movie thinking well also if you're so if you're so maybe you've probably read them exactly yeah like you know it's not like a hat like honestly has there been a movie with a dog in it where the dog hasn't died I'm a killer do they kill Beethoven's dead they told him for is he just dead the first three is fine and then the fourth one's a funeral they told him for Beethoven's been brought back Charles Grodin for that one is very upset to give the eulogy yeah exactly I remember and I remember I saw the first Beethoven in theaters and when the guy who's like gonna kill all the dogs or whatever gets like pinned up against the wall and Beethoven bites him in nuts I remember thinking that was the single greatest community moment but my life up I don't know when Beethoven came out I remember like very disappointed that Beethoven lives upstairs was not a dog movie like this is the worst that's like the classic Simpsons joke like how mother Skinner blocks half the TV he's like I watch men without a face I didn't even know he had a problem it's like a same idea you're like what is this who is this okay nice composer or whatever but when's the dog yeah exactly I was seven when Beethoven came out so it makes sense that I would find a guy like a crotch bit by a dog the IMDB summary is a slobbering state Bernard becomes a center of attention for a loving family but it's veterinarian secretly wants to kill it yeah that's like that sounds a lot more menacing shit that sounds like the plot for kujos and what's going and why does he want to kill Beethoven again I can't remember I think they took in like killed his family oh that's right okay yeah I forgot about that I'm just gonna look on the ass of dog Beethoven killed the vets small dog and also his wife I'm in check the message board to see it because I was gonna say it's tradition we need to check and find out what the top post is on the base okay it what it was was he just wanted to experiment on Beethoven I think because he's so big or something like that I don't know the tagline of the movie it was funny because Stefan we were talking about how you're writing a lot of movie scripts or you've written a couple's and how like the tagline is like what everybody wants to hear like that's a big thing that studios just want to hear the tagline before they hear the tagline for this movie was the head of the family is the one with the tail is it that's a great tagline it's like oh the dog yeah the tail the dog is at the family it's person I know maybe Charles Groden had a digital tail or something in the movie grossed 57 million in the US also one of my favorite fun facts about this movie is that because Beethoven is so big in Germany they had to name it in German and Hunn Nommens Beethoven just so that there was really no confusion even though there was a dog that they should have done the same thing for Beethoven lives upstairs it should have been called a composer named Beethoven lives upstairs yeah this is amazing I love see IMDB is so great about about like shit movies because this is like goofs in the mood this is a goof when Ted and Rice are playing Super Mario Brothers 3 they are both mashing away on controllers however when it shows the close-up of the screen we see that they're only playing a one-player game at the time I hate this movie yeah God ridiculous speaking of Mario though we did get an update on the Mario Brothers last name yeah from a listener who sent into our Twitter account that it is canon as of the Super Mario Brothers movie with Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo that it's Mario Mario and Luigi Mario yeah that's and so tweeted that last name is Mario yeah yeah friend of the show Owen skating actually tweeted that to me as well at O skating on Twitter he tweeted that to me as well he's like I'm pretty sure that their names are Mario Mario and Luigi Mario and Luigi Mario and Luigi has to feel like he's like boot trust boot trust galley yeah exactly my favorite part I love boot trust galley because of Ali G you remember he interviewed him he's like I'm with my main man butros butros butros butros butros butros butros butros galley and this is butros butros galley is like 90 is building he's just sitting there like what the fuck is happening my favorite letterman joke of all time that I've like always remembered when I saw it on the late show the replay that played like four in the afternoon on check TV was like butros butros galley's birthday today and heard all of his friends shipped in and got him another boot trust this is the part of the show we just talked about good boot trust boot trust galley yeah that's a very good joke that is a good one you have anything from the message board there was one thing that wasn't accurate it was just this guy was like oh I don't know Charles groan was 57 years old when he made this movie I thought he was 40 and then someone's like yeah I know like he looks he looks younger he looks so yeah really scintillating this guy just Charles groan writing that yeah he looks very young and healthy and fit all right so good for the way that I'll do it for the week and I think is it on to our it is Stefan it's time excellent for the tata tata tata tata taka taka okay all just before we get in the tapper tracker there are so many things King Donald race per hour if you throw your own employee through a glass do you like when he slaps you in a face how do you know if you're yelling my wife you guys think this is okay I have a reputation and I have to protect it and you We'll destroy it. He's a man.
Rick and G. I'm leaving. I'm not resting near you far. My dad, I forgot we had the theme song.
I'm going to tweet that at John Taffer. The theme song is like Mr. Taffer. I don't come John.
I'm not being nice already. I've got to respect it. I'll tweet it at him. I think you'd love it.
That theme song is the best part of the show. John was trying to say something before we got it. My idea of beer apologies. Once the music starts, it's too late.
My bad guys. I just learned that there are so many Beethoven movies and the most recent one came out in 2014. And it's still apparently the same Beethoven. Beethoven's treasure tale is the most recent one.
But there are... Are you either a pirate in that one? Yeah, he is a pirate. So Beethoven is like 25 years old.
Yeah, he's human years. Which dog years is seven, right? Yeah. So that would be...
It's like 150? Well, it's 175. Beethoven's 175 years old. Yeah, he's old.
He's... He's a mortal. This one is Beethoven gets... Oh, these on a movie shoot.
So we've now broken the fourth wall and Beethoven himself is on a movie star. Very meta. Which I have to say, okay, I used to work at a video store when I was in like first and second year university. And we were in a prime location on like mid-blondale in North Vancouver.
And we would constantly just get people coming in like, inebriated out of their minds. And my favorite thing that the customer ever said came in and just absolutely sloshed drunk. And this was a regular who would come and drunk all the time. Once walked into the store, pointed at a dog who was being like led around by another customer and said, that dog looks like a movie star dog.
I like that this drunk man was a cowboy. That dog. All the talent scouts for Beethoven. Speaking of movie star dogs, you know the dog that played Air Bud died of lung cancer?
Really? I thought you were going to bring you guys down. You guys are like super happy down. Too much leather in his mouth.
Well, he got a bad smoke. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know how it is.
So all those air buddies having to go without their dad. They're near old bad. This Beethoven is a movie star and they get stranded in a small coastal village, the movie people. And then he befriends a local boy and helps him find a pirate map to Lost Treasure.
And together they embark on an adventure that brings the whole town together. Also in German, this movie is called Beethoven und der Pyreten shots. But there's a Beethoven in the pirate shit. Oh, in the pirate shit.
Yeah, there we go. Exactly. Anyway, sorry to interrupt the time. Sorry, we opened the tap for the record.
Should we play the game again? Yeah, let's do it again. It's a great theme song. Yeah.
Okay, here we go. No interruptions. He's just a common man. He's just a kind of raised per hour.
If you throw your own employee through a grass. How do you like when he slaps you in a face? How do you do that? You're a guy who's a young and white wife.
You guys think this is okay. I have a reputation and I have to protect it. And you will destroy it. He's a man.
I'm leaving. I'm not risking me a bar. That's so good. This is like inception now.
We've gone into a lower level. We're two Tafford trackers. I was thinking it was more like the Jay-Z and Kanye West watch the throne tour where they just played N-words in Paris like 10 times in a row. We're basically going to be like, that's so good.
Play it again. Play it again. This is what the crowd wants. I want.
How dare you yell at my wife? I'm pretty sure they played it like 15 times in a row in Vancouver. Yeah, they played it a lot of times. But the Tafford tracker, this would be kind of a clip of the week version.
Yeah, because we had almost too much Tafford. Well, this was too much to be contained in the Tafford tracker last week. We have a clip from the Americans for Prosperity Conference that he spoke at. We talked about this several weeks in a row now on the show where he was given a speech at Koch Brothers Conference.
Conference, political conference, Techers, the post, the old Mardo Rubio, Jeb Bush. And the title of this video is John Tafford fights for Small Business and boy does he ever. And we will hear a little bit of that right now. Let me ask you this.
With all of our current candidates, I never hear the word small business. Do you? Never. I understand the issues of the day and they're important.
But the army of small business will not only fuel our economic growth, it'll fuel votes. The small business army can light up Main Street again. Corporations won't. Our small business army can reignite communities and our small business army can ignite the voter.
So do we fuel that army or do we squish it? Do we inspire that army with dreams or scare it with nightmares? What do we do? These are the questions of our time.
Well, there's two things about that. First of all, he apparently thinks the opposite of fuel is squish. And second, I guess he wants to start like build this like mercenary army, filled with people who like run mall kiosks or something. I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about.
She's so phone paces. And she's pissed. Our cha-chiki army. It's a lot better when you can see the video too.
It's just pacing and screaming. I just can't, again, I still have not seen a single episode of Bar Rescue, but I just can't get over that even when he gives keynote addresses. It's like he's screaming at waitress with an IQ of 60. This is Americans for Prosperities.
I think that might have been the American dream. That might have been the audience to be fair, but I just love that. What are you gonna do? What do you think?
You're gonna do? I just love the irony of him being so passionate about small businesses. When you watch Bar Rescue, he is taking small businesses, small independent bars and pubs and restaurants and turning them into soulless corporate imitations. Big businesses, chain restaurants.
With the pirate episode, he literally changes the bar into something called corporate bar and grill. We gotta attract that corporate audience. What better way to do that than by naming it that. Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, it makes sense to me. But he's not the way to save small businesses to just make it corporate. Pretend to be big business. But watch the video if you can because it's picked up.
The whole thing is great. That's the best part of it. It's like this week, it's almost hard to even commentate on it because so much of the humor present in it just speaks for itself. Can we even say that he doesn't just do himself?
Well, I also enjoyed the phrase ignite the voter. You don't have to like the voter to burn a vote. I see marches towards Washington to stay to coup with small businesses. I just wanna, can we hear him say scare them with nightmares again?
Let me see if I can find that. I really like that part. I just like hearing about John Tapper. So do we fuel that army?
Or do we squish it? Do we inspire that army with dreams? Or scare it with nightmares? Who wrote this speech?
I think he wrote this himself. Probably. But he was on the Nerdist podcast. He listened to part of it yesterday.
He's so funny. He's a really funny guy. He's like pretty self aware of what he's all about. So you're thinking if you send him the Tapper Tracker theme song?
He's gonna be on our show in the next month. He's okay with common projects. He unblocked me too. He'll probably block me again.
He's coming around. He's asshole again. It's possible. But he also wrote the rest.
I think that you survived cancer. Yeah. Oh, yes. Someone did so.
Do we have that going on? I would I kind of look like I did. I'd love to get him in the room just so you could talk to him face to face. Yeah.
About the entire role player. Oh, yeah. You're new Tinder bio. I kind of look like I survived.
Oh, that was a great Tapper Tracker. Yeah, it was. It was. It was.
Smiles. I'm with nightmares. That was Roger Goodell again. Yeah.
That was Roger Goodell. It's like, oh, what's going on? Oh, yeah. There we go.
When my dad does impressions, he just yells. Like it doesn't matter what it is. That works for John Dafford. Yeah.
Like he'll just be like, oh, this is a Scottish person. Like, oh, are you going to play golf? They'll be like, oh, this is a French person. Oh, do you like croissants?
You're just yelling. It's not an impression of anything. He just changes the subject matter and then yells it. And that's how you're supposed to like infer what impression he's doing.
What are we going to do with a small business army? Oh, it's Tapper. Oh, that was. That was Roger Goodell.
Oh, that's Roger Goodell. Okay, Roger. My dad. Tapper would have been screaming.
I would have been screaming. But yeah, that will do it for the Tapper Tracker this week, I think. We're moving on to the questions now. Twitter mail.
Well, first we have to wrap up the Tapper Tracker. Oh, that's of course. I'm gone. Good night.
Nice. I can't close up. I'm shorted. Well, because we're too deep though, I have to play it again otherwise.
Yep. So what's next? Where do you go to the checkbox? I read.
I'm here at the PFTH gml. Do you forget to do the second HTML thing? Yes. Exactly.
I'm gone. Good night. We're out of, we're out. Yeah, finally out.
That's time for the Twitter mailbag, which I still think we got to get some bird chirps for that. I still haven't made the weak song for that. But it is the Twitter mailbag. It's letter time.
It's letter time. Stefan what do we have? We do have a very good question from a hilarious, PFT commentor. Yeah.
And he asks very simply, who's the sexiest mascot? And I'll answer this first. the detachable tongue and dog. The Calgary police mass up.
For those who are. And if you've seen the clip of him, this is like 2003 or something, when Craig McTavish reaches up and rips the tongue out of Harvey the Hound, Harvey the Hound is like, what the fuck is going on? What do I do now? Any huge turn on?
It's a detachable tongue. I really like that one. I have a couple of contenders, not to do my usual thing of picking a bun. Yeah, here we go.
But here's one good one. It's not the one I'm picking. My first thought was the Seattle Seahawks boom mass cuts. Which is weird, because I didn't even know, like do you guys ever feel this like about teams?
Like they have these mass cuts, but you don't even, like you've never seen them before. Like Justin was showing us this pick. I've never seen them before. I've seen them before.
I think I mean blitz. They have two mass cuts. But I've seen the actual bird a lot more. Yeah, exactly.
The falconer comes in with the bird. Yeah. And I'm picking him because if you just look him up, he's like a bird man, but he has very, he's jacked muscle-y arms, like way bigger muscles than any mascot I've ever seen. So if you are a guy that wants to sleep with Justin, have big muscles.
And the bird. And a bird. No, no, lady mass cuts. And a bird bee.
I can't pick like a sexy lady. What about the San Diego Chargers? Like he's a guy, but he's pretty sexy. Is that what?
Lightning man. Yeah, I was like the blue man. He's a lightning ball with a face. Yeah, he's got like a yellow face.
He looks like Jim Carrey in the mass. In the mass. Absolutely terrifying. I was also thinking of Wenlock and Mandaville.
They were the official mass cuts of the London. What were they supposed to be? Like big banners? They don't really look like giant penises with eyeball faces.
That's what sexier than. Like a lot of big muscles. And eye on the other side. Or I could go with a third one.
Yeah, because we've talked about the fear boner in the past as a thing that might exist maybe. And I will go with a mascot. It's like a second mascot of the New Orleans Pelicans. Oh, that is terrible.
Because they have the bird one, but not him. We're going to go with King Baby of the New Orleans Pelicans. Because if you are a person who gets fear boners, I guarantee you King Baby will be one. So I just want to make it clear.
For sexiest mascot, you chose a baby. But just get that out there. Yeah, I guess I did. So just an update on Wenlock and Mandaville.
According to their Associated Fictional Storyline, they were formed from the last girder of the Olympic Stadium. So they're metal poles. Their skins are made of highly polished steel, allowing them to reflect the personalities and appearances of the people they meet. Which is kind of like you could maybe if they were reflecting like a super hot chick.
And you could be like, OK, well, that's good for me. Their one eye is a camera. And on their heads are yellow lights symbolizing those. You just want to film yourself fucking the mascot.
Are you just going to get them to stand while you're fucking the giant baby? Wenlock Mandaville, you're standing over there in the corner. I have a huge baby to fuck. I have stepped in at this time.
Yeah, you've done bad. And that was your third one. So you built up to it. You didn't have to do the third one.
And then you're third one. You're like, baby. Well, we're just talking about mascots. Sexy or no, I have to work in a mention to King Baby.
It is the most terrifying thing I've ever seen in my life. But the implication is that you want to have sex. Yeah. Oh, really good show.
Real good for Justin's broadcasting career. That's a huge feature. We talk about how much Justin and mine's careers are ending based on the show. This is also from the Wenlock and Mandaville Wikipedia entry.
The mascots received mixed reviews. Creative reviews said both are clearly of the digital age. And we have to say, we think they look rather good. However, others were more critical with one colonist claiming the pair with a product of a drunken one night stand between a Teletubby and a Dalek.
Or Dalek? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
I don't either. So I don't care. I don't pronounce it. But I'm just saying.
Also, the London 2012 was notable for their logo, which looked like Lisa Simpson blowing Bartiss. Yeah, it actually did. Super obvious. And actually Wenlock and Mandaville have that logo emplacent on their chest.
And the Kangen Kota. They look at Kangen Kota. Oh, this is even better. Holy shit.
The mascots were available to make appearances at schools and community events around the host nation. The then chair of the London Assembly, Baroness D. Ducey. Can't believe that's her name.
Raised the issue of the fees, she suggested only the richest of schools would be able to afford the appearances. Appearances were 850 pounds, rising to 1720 for events requiring an overnight stay and 2450 for a trip to Scotland or Northern Ireland. So if you wanted to have these creepo mascots at your school, it costs you over 1500 US. I don't know if I've talked about this on the show before, but like super gris used to come to my elementary school.
Nice. This is where this whole mascot thing is coming from. I don't want to fuck a mad. Super gris.
I mean, if you did a like trampoline flip through, I didn't hear that. Wow. Super gris was great. Way better than one.
Yeah. Yeah. Wasn't how like how many times would you say have you watched the episode of entourage where Johnny drama is a furry? I haven't probably just once.
No. Okay. Well, it's not the season that I've seen even. Well, John, who's your mascot?
Yeah. The Philly fanatic. I want to know what they're what I don't know what I don't know. Yeah.
That's not what it knows. I don't know what it does. Maybe it does nothing, but I'd like to find it. All right.
Well, that was a good question. Thank you. Thank you. It's wonderful.
I've gone from hellblazer vice. Oh, also, I think the Philly fanatic is an adult. Okay. It's just a throw that out.
So, so is Harvey theown. An adult dog. He's 175 years old like Beethoven. Well, maybe King Baby is Benjamin Button.
You're taking the whole game. Baby. This is from hellblazer vice. You asked, I think this is kind of directed towards me.
Who is the best way to take an NHL fantasy mock draft to ruin it? And I would say Lucas Bisa, but I think a lot of casual fans of other teams don't really realize just how atrocious he is. Yeah. So, I don't know.
There's the classic retired player. John has suggested earlier Bryce Salvador. Just retired. But I'm just looking through the Yahoo player.
Let's see if it's all in distil there. Taking a bad goalie is always a classic move. Or just like taking a player who's in the news for all the wrong reasons. Exactly.
Slap of point on. Yeah. I don't think it's. Yeah.
I'm not going to feel guilty about that. Yeah. I wouldn't like it. Tim Thomas is going to be.
Is Tim Thomas? I'm going to take a look right now. Tim Thomas is probably available. Would be a good one.
He is not, unfortunately. I'm going to look at the goal he's right now actually. He's going to be in the end. Pool had like pool of players.
I mean, had like all kinds of retired guys well after they retired. Like you could probably like Dan Cluce in like 2012. Oh man. That'd be amazing.
Dan Lapper. Great. Jim Carrey. Just let's off goal.
He's in one good season injury. Although he was still in the NHL I guess for a while. Yeah. So who do you guys pick then?
I'm going to go. You go Lucas Visa. I have to. I don't know.
There's like not many players who just have like funny names. It's not like football is like either where. Because I've tried ruining NHL mock drafts. I'm going to try again this year.
But people don't get as pissed off because it's not as big as. I would pick from the Carolina Hurricanes Michael Jordan. There you go. There you go.
And then pretend you thought it was that's what I'm probably going to do. Michael Jordan first. NBA draft. You're going to ruin hockey drafts.
I'm going to try it too. But like I said I tried it before and it doesn't get the reaction. Football is great because there's so many mock drafts. People are way too into it.
When I feel like the profile of NHL fans is not. They're pretty bad. Yeah. Pretty chill.
Like man I don't even know who I would take. Like again because yeah you have to have that comedy factor of like someone who because I would say like you could easily take Fraser McLaren would be a great. Phil. Well yeah for me.
He's a sack of shit. Phil. So it's like he's not and again no one would think of him as like a joke player. Yeah.
I mean I don't know Tim Thomas seems like as good as any if he's still available. Did you check that? He's not available. Oh yeah.
Well yeah. He was probably the best fantasy hockey. It is. It is.
Jeez. This is a really tough one. Scott Gomez. Yeah.
That's a good one. Yeah. Because people he's kind of like reviled for being shitty. Yeah.
Like a decent year last year actually. Well like these Scott got like seven points or something. Yeah. Yeah.
No kidding. Great year. Wait did he retire because he's not in anyway it doesn't matter. Oh he's an unrestricted free agent who will attend on a tryout basis the training camp of the St.
Louis Blues. And last season he had oh yeah he had 34 points. Yeah. He had seven goals.
He had a decent year. 34 points and 58 games. That's not even a really good joke picked up man. I'm not a bit.
This is shit. Justin do you have any good questions? I have a few. Give me one second.
We had something I have to search for it here from friend of the show Zack Goodman. He says your Tracy Chapman is on point. You don't have to answer now but if I started a creed cover band will you front it. And Zack to that I say with all I'm trying to open.
Under the sunlight welcome to this place. I'll show you everything without a robot. I thought I had to say. John and I just like look at Justin during that.
So Stefan and I had to make really weird icon tag because I couldn't even look at Justin while he was singing that. That was good. I mean that was good. We could move on.
I'm six minutes from the eighth half the car. The question is now I can't think of Scott Stafford. Is that like weird like sex story or whatever did you guys ever read that? I was like this girl met him after a show and then he like basically stalked her.
She gave him her number and then he was like. You met her like a denny or something? Yeah. I wanted to say like I was going to say that he turned out to be super weird but we kind of probably already knew that's just the wrong phrase to use.
But like yeah he ended up kind of like stalking her and was like said he wanted to marry her and weird shit like this and he showed up at her house or something. It was really strange. I can't honestly it was a while ago. I'll tell you who would never do something like that.
The lead singer of Jars of Clay. Oh what a great name. You're impression of the lead singer. Basically the Scott.
No Jars of Clay is like the guy has like a way like lighter voice. Jars of Clay was like that Christian band. Yeah I'm just picking like a little dude. Yeah.
I don't even think he's like like a lot of their like. Jars of Clay is like that. The flop is still a great song. It was the highest charting Christian song ever until Evanescence came along.
I don't really. Evanescence is Christian. I don't even know. Evanescence had this weird thing where like they part of their popularity.
Wake me up inside. Get up. Get up tonight. I don't know what the words are.
Say come on Evan save me. Give me. It's okay to turn the podcast. Go to the other side.
No. You're good man. What have you done? Why are you going to ask us to sing songs?
Yeah because what it was was they part of the reason that they got so popular was because they charted so high on the gospel charts that like people who just listened to gospel were like oh we got to check and like bought it and then they were like they had to go this whole thing where they like pretended not. They're like oh we don't know why we're listening to the gospel charts because we're like goth and shit man we're like god what is that man? Yeah. It's like yeah it's cool times.
It's bringing to life. Damien Blalock writes talk some NFL BB and we kind of did talk about the entries earlier. What we didn't talk about though is that Bill Simmons is kind of just having a meltdown on Twitter with this news. Well because there was another news about the Patriots.
Spygate yeah. Spygate was like a lot more than anyone even ever knew to the point where they were like stealing information from teams locker rooms and teams would leave out fake plays because they knew the Patriots were going to steal their. Yeah they leave out like sheets of paper with like plays on that. Yeah that would end up being fake which sounds like something that would have happened in the movie Big Fat Liar featuring Fat Liar.
Or like Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy. Yeah exactly. Like yeah it's so bizarre. But yeah Bill Simmons went nuts on Twitter and was just making fun of all the teams that lost to the Patriots and then ends his huge like multi-tweet rant with PS I only have three more weeks of being unemployed on a bash Boston homer before I have to be fair and balanced again I'm going to use them implying that he was ever fair and balanced before.
And also like don't the best broadcasters like they never admit their fans of any team pretty much like they disparage people for doing I mean even if it is obvious that they're cheering for a particular team they don't act like that. Well you know what I mean like the whole thing is that they're supposed to be in part like if someone's like who's your favorite team they're like I don't know yeah my favorite team is my broadcast. We clearly know what his favorite team is. Yeah oh yeah but that's what yeah it's very odd that he would even be like that he would even say that.
Yeah especially that you look at all his tweets about anything Boston sports related to like it's just any Boston Bruins tweet from Bill Simmons is the worst tweet ever. Especially because he's like more of a Kings fan now. Well he's a Kings fan and a Bruins fan and he's raising his kids to be fans of both. Yeah it's just just the worst.
Who raises their kid to be a fan of two teams in the same sport? Right. Connor Neelen writes in to say ask Stefan about getting his big foot dick tweet retweeted by the official verified account of the country of Sweden. Yeah this is wonderful so Sweden does this thing where they have their countries official Twitter account it's verified and everything and then each week they have a different Swedish citizen take over the account and they can tweet whatever the hell they want.
That's kind of really awesome. Yeah I don't think it would probably wouldn't work here. Definitely wouldn't work in the States. Oh god no.
But waiting list would just be too. Well apparently it doesn't work in Sweden either if they're retweeting big foot dick tweets. Yeah no I think it definitely works. But what's his name?
He follows I follow him on Twitter as well. Iran is skid to vid. Yeah I don't know it's his name is Hank I think. He's serious.
Yeah anyway so he was running the Sweden account and he retweeted a bunch of really funny tweets including mine which is Bigfoot, Sommie naked and laughed at my dick. He's real alright a real asshole and so the country the whole country of Sweden like loves that tweet I guess. Did you get any like reaction and you're not replies to that tweet after he reviewed it? I think I got something in Swedish and I didn't.
You should do that right now. I'm assuming it was like I don't know if it's still there it was there earlier. I have a lot of. Anyway I just assume it was like you're wonderful please come to Sweden.
That's probably what it was. But that was pretty cool. I like that. Show supporter Kaitlyn B.
Kaitlyn B wrote in with rank the adult fandom from worst to worst. People that take roller derby, disc golf, dodgeball or kickball too seriously. See that we have to clarify because I don't think there's fans of any of these things aside from maybe roller derby. The people who play them.
Yeah people who play them. Yeah like roller derby I feel like gets an audience. Yeah I know it's like athletic too. Yeah I know.
It's fun to watch. I've been meaning to go out and see. And I like playing. I like playing kickball.
What do I even call it a game a match? It's a match. No no it's called a jam. Jam or a slam.
Jam. I'm pretty sure it's called a jam. Let me check it out. But yeah no roller derby is.
I feel like that's right. It's violent. It's athletic. People go around circles hitting each other like that's awesome.
The other ones are fun to play. Like this golf is fine. I've never played it but I hear good things. I'm not great.
Like I've done it once. The people who play it seems to be very passionate about it. I've recently played some kickball. Kickball is a lot.
Kickball is dope. Kickball is great. It is called a jam. There you go.
One sport I'd like to add on your inspace sport is not a sport at all. People who play Quidditch. I hate those people so much. You're the worst.
You're the worst. You listen to the show. Stop listening to the show. Don't get some money first and then stop listening.
Well why do you even. What? How? What is it?
It's fun. Sorry guys. It's not Quidditch though. Well yeah kind of.
No. It's running around with a broom. Okay well here's the thing. If played properly there is one cool aspect of it.
So because like it started at universities. I was like a regular Quidditch where whatever. You put a broom in between your legs and you have to run with a broom between your legs at all times and then you pass the quaffle back and forth and try and put it through the hoops. Just like the real game.
Okay. And then you also have. No but then you have. So this is what I'm getting to.
So then you have the dodge ball. The dodge ball is like the you know the bludger which is where you basically like get that. That normally would knock you off your broom but it's just basically people run around with baseball bats and they hit the dodge ball at you and then if you get hit then you're like out of the game for a couple minutes. Okay.
And then the snitch in the proper version of the game. People do different versions of the snitch. In the proper version of the game it would be a person dressed all in yellow with like a flag football flag or like a sock filled with tennis balls hanging out of their back pocket and then they get 10 minutes to run anywhere on the campus and then the seekers have to run around the campus and find it. And then if they find it then it's like they call it in and then it's like okay the game's over we stop now and then.
You liking Quidditch is a bigger bombshell than meeting a dog. Yeah. Let's gentlemen I hope you've enjoyed John's final episode. Quidditch corner.
Corner spelled with a Q. Quidditch corner. Quidditch corner. Yeah.
Corner. Dudes. It's fun. I don't know what you like.
I just the fandom I think. The people who have like the Harry Potter like cover bands and stuff. I have a shirt that has the three rings on it and says I'm a keeper. Oh boy.
You guys like woo. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
I like Harry Potter too. I remember when I said that a giant baby was sexy. That was less embarrassing than this. Wow.
You still don't have sex with babies. I don't know why you brought that up. I forgot about that. I was trying to let that go.
Under the bed. Like he secretly wants to talk. Yeah. Exactly.
Guys remember when I talked about that baby mascot. When you play Mario Kart do you always play with baby Luigi? No. Who's the sexiest Mario Kart character?
It's baby Peach. Oh boy. That was a good question. Yeah.
Even though we barely answered it all. Get what you paid for, Katelyn. Sorry. What was it again?
Disc golf? Disc golf? Or kickball? I feel like Ultimate Frisbee should be on there.
Ultimate Frisbee is the worst by far of any of it. You mean in terms of the people who get play into it. Yeah. I like playing Ultimate.
Yeah. The people who are super into it. It's the worst. It's the actual worst.
Yeah. So yeah. It's the worst. Yeah.
And if you play disc golf and you have more than one disc, go fuckers. No, no. This Frisbee is my putter. Yeah.
Go fuckers. We got a question about a week ago. I can't find it all the way back. But basically somebody had just finished listening to every episode of our show and wanted to know other podcasts like it.
There aren't any. Yeah. I don't really know. Two and out.
The CFL podcast. I mean the Sklar brothers. Does it say on iTunes? Like what's similar to our country?
I don't know. Sklar bro is probably the closest. In terms of sports. But they're also not like as inherently asshole-ish as we are.
I would have nice twins who are like sports or fun. I would just like recommend my favorite comedy podcast. Well, the pistol trims radio is great. Yeah, I guess it's common comedy.
It's played by play of LA women's wreck basketball from Matt Gourley and Mark McCondville, which is absolutely hilarious. I strongly recommend that. But in terms of podcasts that are just like three dudes. Yeah, but in having fun.
You know what some of us is called, I just found out recently it's called Mind Rescue and it's an anti-Hitler bar rescue podcast. Oh really? Kind of biting our bed I guess. But I'll let it slide.
