#10 Richard Plumlee Director of Operations for the Food Bank of Wyoming

Richard Plumlee is the Director of Operations for the Food Bank of Wyoming and has worked to develop innovative solutions to address food insecurity throughout the state for the last 5 years. Richard has been heavily involved with non-profits since 2008, primarily focusing on food banking, emergency management and disaster preparedness. Prior to relocating to Wyoming in 2019, Richard served as the Director of Inventory and Food Safety for the San Antonio Food Bank, as well as Vice President for the San Antonio chapter of Volunteer Organizations Active In Disasters (SA-VOAD) an organization focusing on community resiliency, disaster response and preparedness in collaboration with city, state and federal agencies. Richard is a 2015 highest honors graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology. Richard is also a 2024 graduate of Leadership Casper and is currently a graduate student pursuing his master’s degree in public administration through the University of Wyoming. He has an intrinsic passion for helping others and enjoys spending time with his artistically talented wife and two equally amazing adult daughters.
