10 Useful and Practical Tips to Help You Tame the Email Monster

from Allied Health Business Brilliance

Over the last few months, I’ve been working so hard to manage my email. Many business owners, myself included, have had or are having problems and challenges with taming the email monster. People are constantly checking their emails throughout the day from the time they wake up to before they go to bed. Email working you rather than you working your email. I just recently read a book called “The First 2 Hours: Make Better Use of Your Most Valuable Time” by Donna McGeorge and email as a challenge comes up through her book, research and training consults. Donna presents an interesting framework on how you can use 2-hour time blocks throughout your day to work on certain tasks. She said that there seems to be a general idea that email rules our day, mental thinking, and takes up so much of our energy. And I certainly concur with her observations. Email works us instead of the other way around. In this episode, we cover: Reorienting our attitude and response to email. Applying time blocks in your schedule. 10 tips and tricks you can apply to better manage your emails. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
