Meet Carla Berg!   Carla Berg is a native Brazilian who celebrates the music and culture of Brazil through song. Her work also seeks to reflect Carla's multi-faceted nature and the cultures she hails from. Raised Jewish, Carla’s earliest musical memories come from singing at Passover services with her grandfather, a cantor (singer). The duality of her cultural background has influences such as jazz, bossa nova, samba, middle eastern, and classical opera to define a sound that makes Carla’s voice unique.   Carla Berg self-identifying as a multicultural and multilingual singer and songwriter performs songs within languages such as Portuguese, English, Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, Yiddish, and Ladino, many of which appear on her CDThankful and NES.
