Welcome to this special edition of the CLIP Podcast. I had no plans on putting together this show until I received a comment from Julie a second grader from Virginia. So a big hello to Julie and her classmates as well as her teacher Carol! In any case Iacirc;euro;trade;ve been working with Julieacirc;euro;trade;s teacher, Carol on creating spaces for critical literacy in her classroom and one of the tools that weacirc;euro;trade;ve talked about for doing this, is podcasting. Julie and her classmates have had a chance to listen to some podcasts created by children as well as CLIP to help them figure out if podcasting may be of interest to them and today in her e-mail she excitedly shared that in class earlier this week, they chose a name for their show. It will be called 100% Kids. Awesome. I canacirc;euro;trade;t wait to get started on this project with them. So this show is for you 100%Kids Group! I thought Iacirc;euro;trade;d put out a special show to share with you some possible tools for your podcast site. You can find the video on the CLIP Podcast site. This one is a video that my husband and I did with our three year old just for fun. I hope it gives you an idea of how you can easily create short videos as one way to show your audience what you are thinking. The second is spell with Flickr which I really like. You can go on the site and create all sorts of words using letters taken from different places. So you can decide on what letters work together and talk about how your audience might react to different combinations of letters. The third is Artroom. Itacirc;euro;trade;s on the website for a famous gallery in England, the Saatchi Gallery, where kids can make display art online. You could create some artwork for your audit trail or for your podcast site using the Artroom. So there are some ideas for you! Enjoy and Iacirc;euro;trade;ll see you soon.
