Esports in one of the largest growing segments of sport in the world. In 2016 alone mobile games generated $40 Billion. In this podcast we explore them coming out of your phone and to an arena near you and what you can do to prepare for this wave of innovation. Duron is the Collegiate Esport Advisor focusing on leadership and organizational development of the program. Served eight years in the Marine Corps, where he learned how great leadership can be the deciding factor of building a great team. Duron shortly after leaving the Corps, he earned an esport scholarship at Park University to compete for their League of Legends team as a Jungler. Duron took his knowledge of leadership from the Marine Corps and implemented a team atmosphere that has increased leadership roles amongst the other players. Duron is also a founding member of the Kansas City Esports Coalition with a goal to grow the esport community in Kansas City. Durons goal is to provide a standard of excellence in the collegiate space through leadership and developing intangible skills for the individual players.
