This is another episode of the student spotlight series where every Monday I interview my amazing Artist Academy Advanced students to get to know them better, give them direct advice on their art business, and so I can get feedback on how to be a better teacher. This week I’m interviewing Brianna Damato and we got to dive in on our combined favorite topic: TikTok! I’m always seeing Brianna pop up on my for you page (fyp) and you’ll be intrigued to hear that she is actually getting commissions from using that platform. Yep, it’s not all just fun and games with silly videos, the adults are migrating to TikTok and they are buying art! We also talk about our upcoming mural meetup and just to give you an update, Brianna has since bought her plane ticket and is meeting us in Iowa next month for our first ever artist academy group event! We will be painting the most instagrammable spot in the Midwest all while learning just about everything there is to know about murals.
