101# The Montauk project | stranger things, stranger than fiction  The Montauk Project   This Theory alleges there were a series of secret United States government projects conducted at Camp Hero or Montauk Air Force Station in Montauk, New York, Long Island for the purpose of developing psychological warfare techniques and other exotic research such as time travel, Alien tech and human experimentation for the goal of creating super solders and even mind control.  Stories about the Montauk Project have circulated since the early 1980s. The U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Eldridge was claimed to have been rendered invisible (or "cloaked") to enemy devices.
