103 - I'll Sing To You This Time (The Light of Your Face)

Luke 18:35-37 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” In this episode, I will share a wonderful rabbit trail I followed as I looked up the hymn, “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior.” Fanny Jane Crosby wrote the hymn. What treasure is found in her story and in her inspiration for the lyrics of this song. Speaking of inspiration, her story inspired me to play a song I wrote years ago. With Fanny Jane in mind (can you tell I like her middle name?), I saw a fresh layer to these lyrics - maybe you will too.  I will sing, "The Light of Your Face."
