With deep financial expertise, Landrigan has become the financial voice for locals opposing the Toi Foundation's controversial $620 million sale and merger of TSB Bank with Heartland Bank. He strongly argues that the bank belongs to the people of Taranaki rather than the foundation's board, which he claims has lost its focus and is selling a core community asset at a massive capital discount. To safeguard the region's asset, Landrigan is spearheading a community-backed campaign proposing that the Toi Foundation should be renamed back to the TSB Community Trust and run by elected trustees, and its focus returned back to being the guardian of the Bank for the people of Taranaki.
