103. Madeleine (Culbert's Bakery)

from A Life That's Good Hosted by Phil and Ally Campbell-Main

It was our very first podcast back in March of 2023 but a few things have changed so we thought maybe the time was right to do an update on one of our all time favourite places. Since the early 1800’s, it has dispensed joy to all who've passed through its doors. Though the bakery has been around now for well over two centuries it was in 1942 that Mel Culbert took it over, soon passing it on to his son Berry and then eventually to Darin who ran it until 2022, when our guest today took ownership. We’re going to learn more about Madeleine Lambert and her families history in Goderich, her long standing love of the bakery, the challenging process of taking over such an iconic and well loved business and her dreams for the future of Culbert’s Bakery!
