On our latest episode of Pain Reframed, Tim Flynn and Jeff Moore are joined by Dr. John Zapatna, an orthopaedic physical therapist with a background in neurology. They discuss our tendency to operate in silos, why that harms our patients, and how we can work to create a more holistic approach to healthcare. Dr. Zapanta received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Regis University in Denver, CO. He completed an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program in Scottsdale, AZ.  He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Dr. Zapanta's clinical interests are in the management of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and cardiopulmonary conditions while integrating a patient-centered hands-on approach to rehabilitation. He annually presents at state and national conferences and participates in expanding healthcare access locally and globally. He is an adjunct faculty of Physical Therapy at South College in Knoxville, TN & faculty with the NeuroRecovery Training Institute (NRTI).
