The arrival of any Bethesda RPG carries with it a certain weight, but in a year jam-packed with giant open world games, Fallout 4 might be considered nothing more than the cherry on top. Todd Howard & Co are never ones to sit on their laurels though, having added a whole bunch of refinements and an almost unnecessarily deep crafting system to what is just as much a sequel to Skyrim as it is the latest entry in the Fallout franchise.
