#104 German Sky War - Nuremberg UFO Battle of 1561

from But It Was Aliens · host But It Was Aliens

The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe the allegedly truthful space battle in the skies above Nuremberg, Germany in 1561. But before that, we learn the REAL words to Prince’s classic, Purple Rain, along with the dangerous and horrid Purple Rain drinking game. Don’t do it, folks. Anyway…  We begin the actual case today with a bang. Well, more of a pop (and we’re not talking about Moonwalkers balls). Because we have some visual evidence. Evidence of a possible war above Earth which definitely couldn’t have been between Earthlings. So was this an alien battle? Or was it actually a warning from God? A demonstration of God’s wrath should their people not be honourable and trustworthy. Or were more natural forces at play? Meanwhile, tune in and you can learn all about the allegedly truthful 1500’s German farm, Farm Farm. Finally, a question… Are Greybeard and Moonwalker honourable and trustworthy enough to wield Excalibur or the Master Sword? All that and more on this week’s file.Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/butitwasaliensStore:https://butitwasaliens.co.uk/shop/Probe us:Email: [email protected] @ ButItWasAliensPodcastTwitter @ ButItWasAliensFacebook: @ ButItWasAliens - join Extraterrestrial TowersMusic: Music created via Garageband. Of course, when mentioning Lon Lon Ranch we had to sneak in the Lon Lon Ranch theme from from 1998’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, composed by Kōji Kondō. Later on, we also attached some Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past music also by Kōji Kondō - the Lost Woods, Master Sword and Hyrule Overworld themes. This accompanied our discussion of pulling the Master Sword, or Excalibur, from its resting place. What a moment. Before that however, because it just felt right, we opened today’s case with a clip of the Prelude theme from the wondrous Fantasy 7 original soundtrack, composed by Nobuo Uematsu and produced by Uematsu alongside Minoru Akao. During Moonwalker’s button-popping strip, we utilised a very quick snippet from The Stripper instrumental by David Rose, recorded originally in 1958 and courtesy of label MGM. We obviously don’t own the rights to this and used a quick clip as part of a self-satirical section, please don’t send your agents for us. FF7 Music:© SQUARE ENIXCHARACTER DESIGN: TETSUYA NOMURALOGO ILLUSTRATION:© YOSHITAKA AMANO License Available via: https://www.square-enix-games.com/en_US/documents/final-fantasy-vii-material-usage-guidelines#:~:text=c)%20Songs%20and%20music%20from%20FINAL%20FANTASY%20VII.&text=a)%20Do%20not%20use%20the,Twitch%2C%20and%20other%20similar%20services.
