104: HER BACKPACK. HIS GUN. DAYCARE.

from Faith & Fire God & Country · host Faith & Fire God & Country

A toddler pulled a loaded handgun out of a backpack at a daycare in Canton, Michigan on Monday. Staff got there in time. Canton Police Chief Joseph Bialy says the gun belonged to the child's parent, a police officer from another department, and that it was his personal firearm, not a service weapon. The officer was taken into custody while investigators determine charges. In Hamilton County, Indiana, eleven men ages 21 to 49 drove to the Westfield area believing they were meeting an underage girl. In Maryland, softball coach Michael J. Pusateri pleaded guilty to abusing a 17-year-old player. In Hawaii, former wrestling coach Sean Sakaida was arrested. In Virginia, 24-year-old Malachi Morgan Thomas was sentenced to 40 years after using a Snapchat account stolen from a minor to coerce approximately 41 girls ages 12 to 17. In Ohio, Jamilee Hunt was sentenced to 55 years to life. An 11-month-old was found with broken arms, broken legs, broken ribs, a broken clavicle and a traumatic brain injury. That baby survived and is now in a safe home. In Cleveland, a 9-year-old boy admitted to attempted rape and felonious assault against a 5-year-old girl, and the real question is what creates a child capable of that at eight years old. Kentucky State Trooper Hayden Phillips, a father of three, was killed during a traffic stop on I-65. A 10-year-old boy in Dallas was shot while sleeping in his own bed. Plus 178 trafficking arrests out of Miami-Dade, an eight-year fugitive captured in Louisiana, a New Mexico caregiver paid $5,000 a month by the state sentenced in the death of a developmentally disabled woman, and $2.3 million in pandemic loan fraud out of Detroit that got 24 months. Government: Dutch police arrest a ShinyHunters suspect and the FBI's Brett Leatherman tells the hackers "we know how to find you." Three cases the Supreme Court may take up, including Ten Commandments displays in Texas classrooms. And the launch of America.gov, the AI front door to the federal government, alongside agencies testing AI to process FOIA requests and recommend redactions. Built out fully, then broken down honestly.
