105/365 How to transform the love of church music to Bhajan/Kiiran music - An interview with Gaorii Gaye Ferguson from Vancouver

from Jyoshna - From Nothingness To Empowerment · host Jyoshna La Trobe

Gaorii talks about how music has formed a part of her life from an early age, starting with her family background,  being in a Church choir followed by her love of kiirtan and bhajans over many decades. We also talk briefly about the state of the indigenous people in British Columbia and their homelessness which is tragic considering its their own land that has been stolen from them. In life... music is one thing we do to keep ourselves and others inspired especially during this time of separation from our loved ones. I end with a short song called Diipabali, no 62 of Prabhat Samgiit.
