Tuy nhiên, hiện nay chúng ta phải đối mặt với một thực tế rất đáng lo, ông Vũ Đức Giang - Chủ tịch Hiệp hội Dệt may Việt Nam cho biết “Chưa bao giờ mà ngành may mặc xuất khẩu của chúng ta khó khăn như hiện nay. Hai tháng đầu năm, giá trị xuất khẩu tiếp tục giảm cho đến bây giờ vẫn chưa có đơn hàng đặt cho tháng 6 và tháng 7” Theo thống kê, nhu cầu nhập hàng may mặc giảm từ 6% - 10% tương đương khoảng 45 -50 tỷ USD.
