106 Hurra Hurra x Ren Loren Britton

In this episode our guest is Ren Loren Britton, an artist and designer who specialises in trans*feminist and disability justice-based practice. The focus will be on how design, teaching and collaboration can be organised in a more inclusive and equitable manner. Britton will talk about an experimental course at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, where collective working, access riders and new forms of collaboration were explored. The focus is less on results and more on relationships, trust, and shared learning. The conversation also highlights the inherent tensions in such approaches, such as when needs clash or structures reach their limits. This episode explores design as 'worldbuilding', the conscious unlearning of norms, and how a different practice can become possible.
