#106 Michael Lyons

from Johnny Yaps

In this episode I sat down with Michael Lyons and we spoke about some pretty heavy topics in this episode. Most people would be familiar with the term PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, however Michael shared some insights into 'Moral Injury' that really made me think. If you wanted to learn more about this topic see link below: https://moralinjuryinternational.com/about-us That aside, as trivial as this might sound, I had never heard of the term '10 pound poms' so it was insightful to find out it only cost Michael 10 pounds to get to Australia (by plane I might add!) Michael and I also shared a lot of common experiences having both being involved in the automotive industry, however I found his story of getting into Pastoral care work to be really interesting. You all might have realised I enjoy talking about faith as a topic and this episode was fairly confronting to listen to Michael share his emotions at the loss of a son who was in his late 20's. I hope you enjoy the listen.
