The Cubs traded their best pitcher to the Padres for four bags of teenage beans and whatever the hell Zach Davies is supposed to be and that called for an emergency podcast with Andy and Sam Fels. What the trade says about the Ricketts desire to win is all bad, and while there are defensible reasons to trade a 34-year old pitcher who has had two serious arm injuries the "haul" the Cubs got in return for Darvish isn't any of them. Sam threatens to disavow the Cubs, Andy says mean things about the garbage family that owns the Cubs and neither can feign surprise that this is happening, because honestly we all saw it coming. And, since they haven't done this in a while they also kick around Len Kasper's defection and Kyle Schwarber being released into the wild.
