Years in the making, it showcases Greek researcher George Sarantitis and his profound realization: the Atlantis story suffered from key mistranslations that rendered it fantasy. Correctly understood, modern awareness of ancient climate and geography indicates that certain aspects of the myth have real grounding in fact.  Filmed on multiple continents, the documentary serves up the thrill of the chase, taking viewers on a ride from the myth’s origins with ancient Greek philosopher Plato, to barren deserts that were once green savannah filled with mega-lakes, to an enormous warehouse-sized machine at Oregon State University that recreates tsunamis like the one that destroyed the mythical capital city of Atlantis. GUEST: Jack Kelley is writer/producer of the puzzle-mystery film Solver (2018). Among other subjects, Kelley studied ancient philosophy, history, and language at Yale, which he credits with opening his mind to the story. The Atlantis Puzzle is the first film directed by Kelley.
