Overview - God Is Serious About Forgiveness. Matthew 18:21-35. In our message today, we read that Peter comes to Jesus upon the topic of how many times he should have to forgive a brother who sins against him. Peter thinks it generous to offer an amount of 7 times that he would forgive a brother who sins against him, while Jesus tells him that the amount of times he should forgive that brother should be four hundred and ninety times. Now while this must have been a shock to Peter to hear, Jesus proceeds to give His disciples a powerful parable of just how important forgiving another Christian really is if they have sinned against you. In my message today, we look at both the physical, and spiritual sides of this parable, and talk about why forgiveness is so important. Enjoy the sermon Pastor Ed
