Being a mom of five can complicate your days. So many personalities and emotions come and go in a blink. With the New Year around the corner, I tend to reflect on what I did well and what I can improve upon.
But this confession day, I want to do something different. I want to focus on your story.
Rewind back to January of 2017. The beginning of this year. What was your life like back then?
Maybe it was easier or maybe you were caught in a storm.
How did you feel about what you were doing in your life? Did you feel satisfied? Were most of your days joyful? Or were you dreading each day to come, just hoping to make it through?
You could be floating in the middle too.
Ever since I can remember, women ask me how do I do it all and still have a smile on my face?
Jokingly I say, "I buy my spare time at Walmart."
But seriously --- I don't always have it together. What I do have overrides what I'm lacking is not purchased here on earth and can't come from my efforts.
It's the joy God gives me moment by moment, whether I'm drowning in laundry, burning dinner, or yelling when I should be hugging.
Mistakes grow you! The more you let God shine His light in your heart, the easier it is to handle the storms and the victories.
It's not about you. --- It's all about HIM!!!
So this confession day, how bright is your heart shining? Are you really willing to open your heart to what God wants to do in your life?

- Be honest with yourself more in what you need from God. Don't do life alone.
- Get to know your heart. I asked you to think back to January 2017. How much has it changed to now? Sometimes we fall short. Mistakes grow you! Learn.
