Sweet Christ on a cracker, this is a white trash fever dream. Ladies and gentlemen Netflix Book Club number 109 is Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman! Contrary to popular belief this is not a disco documentary. If the name sounds familiar it's because Aileen Wuornos was a real woman who committed several murders before being immortalized by Charlize Theron in Monster (I hear it's not bad). But did we watch Monster? No, we watched this almost made for tv movie that makes some very interesting choices in the retelling of Wuornos' sordid history.
