109. How to Enjoy the Journey When You're Not "There" Yet

from The Farm Family Table⏐Homesteading, Homemaking, Christian Mom · host Jocelyn Jennings

Have you ever felt like you just wish you could be “there” already? And I know for some of you, when I say “there”, you already have a picture in your mind. “There” is being home full-time with your kids, homeschooling at the kitchen table instead of rushing out the door. “There” is a little more space, maybe a few acres, a real garden instead of pots on a patio, a couple of animals in the backyard instead of just saving Instagram posts. And when you’re in a rental, in town, working a job you wish you could leave, or still waiting on that land and lifestyle your heart wants so badly, it can feel like your homesteading dreams are on pause, or even like your life is on pause. In today’s episode, I want to talk to those of you who feel stuck in the “in-between” if you are longing for that simple, farm-centered life but still living in a season that doesn’t look like the dream. We’re going to talk about how to actually enjoy the journey, right where your feet are today, even when you’re not “there” yet.
