109. The Monster : HOMICIDE

Today on LOTW Becky and Bevy discuss the case of Celeste Manno, Celeste was 23, when she was murdered in November 2020 after enduring a relentless stalking campaign. Despite police reports and a protection order, the stalker continued his harassment, ultimately breaking into her home and fatally attacking her. The responsible individual confessed and received a 36-year sentence, deemed insufficient by Celeste's family. Her mother, Aggie, now advocates for stronger anti-stalking laws, mandatory life sentences for murderers, and better victim protections.Case Sources: https://www.abc.net.au, https://www.esafety.gov.au, https://www.lawreform.vic.gov.au, https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/shortcut-the-beast-who-murdered-celeste-manno-will/id1217681421?i=1000656031203, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAEVl0SBU4o
