1094: Lithium May Have A Role In Causing—And Treating—Alzheimer’s

The mechanisms behind Alzheimer’s disease have eluded scientists for decades. But a new breakthrough points to lithium as a possible explanation—not only does it occur naturally in the brain, but a deficiency causes dementia in mice.
