1096: Closing the Education Gap with Nitiya Walker, Founder of Seeds of Fortune

Nitiya Walker is a social entrepreneur who's paying it forward. Her foundation Seeds of Fortune helps minority teen girls apply for college scholarships, as well as teaches career and financial management skills. After personally benefiting from a full scholarship to college, Nitiya realized the power and freedom that comes with starting your adulthood debt-free. Seeds of Fortune has so far awarded over $8 million in grants to young women.More about Nitiya: She was awarded the 2018 Educational Leadership Award from State Senator Kevin S. Parker and the 2018 Clinton Global Initiative University Alumni Honor Roll.
