11-10-21: Thank a veteran

from SAX IN THE MORNING · host Steve Sax

I would love to hear from you, just send me text and let me know what you think of the podcast.Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day and I wanted to take today to talk about how important it is to recognize the tremendous sacrifices of those in the armed forces to keep us all safe. It is especially meaningful to me because my son, Captain John Sax, is a pilot and an officer in the Marine Corps. My son has dedicated his life to becoming a spectacular pilot and leader in the Marines and I am immensely proud of the life he is living. We all know the sacrifice many soldiers face in combat, but what you may not know is how much hard work and sacrifice goes into just being in the armed forces. Everyone you see in a uniform has experienced unbelievably grueling training to prepare themselves to protect our country. So sleep well tonight and spend tomorrow in gratitude knowing that people like my son would give their lives to keep you safe, and if you see a veteran, sincerely thank them for their service. Remember, Sax in the Morning swag is now available on my Instagram site.
