11-21-2021 Living the New Life

Today, Bishop Rodgers teaches from Romans 6:1-6 on "Living the New Life." Christian living depends on Christian learning. Duty is always founded on doctrine. If satan can keep a Christian ignorant, he can keep believers impotent. Jesus Christ not only died for our sins, but He died unto sin and we died with Him. I am in Christ and identified with Him. Therefore, whatever happened to Christ has happened to us. When Christ rose, we rose in Him. Now, we are seated with Christ in the heavenlier. Those who believe in Christ are baptized into Him and baptized into His death. In other words, we are united with Christ. As Christ died, believers in Christ have died to our old, sinful lifestyle. This means our new life in Christ begins. In Christ, we have died to sin so that we no longer want to continue in sin. We are not saved unto ourselves, it is crucial we practice our salvation in a Bible believing church. Living the new life means having fellowship with other believers who can help us to not return back to the old sinful lifestyle. We pray as you listen to this powerful message, the Holy Spirit will minister to you to evaluate your walk with Christ. If you are not experiencing the abundance of Christ, then repent and ask the Lord to restore you. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
