11-9-21: Wiping the slate clean

from SAX IN THE MORNING · host Steve Sax

I would love to hear from you, just send me text and let me know what you think of the podcast. We’ve all had a bad day or a bad week in our lives where it feels like we can’t do anything right. But how about a bad six months! That was the case with the Los Angeles Dodger’s Cody Bellinger, who hit .165 in the regular season. Yet when the season ended, he wiped the slate clean, started over in the postseason and hit .353. He got the series winning hit against the San Francisco Giants and became the Dodgers best player in the playoffs before they lost to the Atlanta Braves. Cody is an amazing sports example of how we can all wipe the slate clean, no matter how bad things have been and for how long. Each day is a new opportunity to begin to turn things around, but you have to clear your head, ask for help and keep showing up and working hard if you want something to change. Remember, Sax in the Morning swag is now available on my Instagram site.
