#11 - Autumn Freeman - PTSD, Anxiety, Suicidal Tendencies, Healing With Psilocybin Mushrooms, MDMA, and Cannabis

from Mycoverse The Mushroom Podcast · host Kingdom Fungi

Our guest, Autumn Freeman on Instagram @justaddganja, has complex PTSD from prolonged childhood abuse, sexual assaults and an attack where she was stabbed in the face and chest. She never recovered from any of the trauma. So it compounded and got worse. She developed a Panic disorder and Major depression- a few suicide attempts and several hospitalizations over the course of her life, and it’s been really hard. Through brain scans done by top neuroscientists, they found that her brain had gone through so much trauma that is was damaged similar to that of a  traumatic brain injury. In 2006, she was introduced to Psilocybin mushrooms and MDMA. “At first psychedelic use was purely recreational. But after my first experience it was so exciting and enlightening that I started digging into Huxley and all the pioneers. I started to be more intentional with it. Over the course of maybe about 6 months, I was doing Psilocybin and MDMA self-assisted therapy” with her boyfriend. “During that time period, I was the most functional I had ever been in my entire life”.  Since recording this podcast, Autumn and her family have uprooted their lives and moved to Oregon in pursuit of gaining safe access to cannabis. In her immediate family, she has to treat autism, epilepsy, PTSD, TBI, and anxiety disorders. In her experience, cannabis and psilocybin containing mushrooms 100% help to both alleviate the symptoms and heal the damages caused by these illnesses.Thank you so much every one.
