11. Brook Detrick | The Importance of Massage Therapy for Cancer Patients

Brook is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist. She is employed at Stonebrook Day Spa and The Stonebrook Project. She graduated from Clary Sage College Massage Therapy program in 2017. She received her MLD certification in 2022 through Klose Training. Earlier this year; she completed a class in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, also through Klose Training. She loves doing massage therapy because it helps people with pain and relaxation. She pours her hear into every client whether it is tight muscles or just needing a soothing touch. The lymphatic drainage therapy helps relieve symptoms of edema and lymphedema due to a compromised lymphatic system, cancer surgeries or lymph node removal. She is looking forward to continuing her education in the field of massage and lymphatic work.
