Mariana was born and raised in the province of Heredia, Costa Rica, the heart of the coffee land. Growing up, she was always surrounded by coffee plantations and loved learning about coffee from a young age. This inspired her to build her career as an Agricultural Economist. Coffee has been a part of her life. She got several degrees, started her career in corporate then pivoted when moving to the US.As the co-founder and CEO of Tico Coffee Roasters her mission is to create a truly unique experience that empowers, protects and nourishes lives from farm to cup. She has been in business since 2010 for over 13 years and was the first women coffee roaster in the US.
