Dorian Corey was an icon in her own right. Star of Paris is Burning and house mother of the House of Corey. She embodied fierceness and she was a wise human being. She took care of the drag community, mentoring and taking in LGBTQ+ people if they needed a place to stay.By all accounts, she was never violent, mean-spirited and there were no signs that she could ever physically harm a soul...unless, her life was in danger.She passed away in 1993. Her good friend and fellow drag queen went to Dorian’s apartment with two guys, searching for costumes for the two.
