Liam Sardea is a philosopher of creativity and a PhD researcher at the University of Melbourne. His research addresses the problem of creativity and the protean powers of the imagination, and how it is an instrumental part of our experience of the everyday. On this episode, Liam explains to us what is phenomenology and sublime experiences and why they are critical to our creativity. We discuss how peeling back the layers of logic and rationality allows us to better experience the world around us, how our sense of smell is so powerful in eliciting emotion and so much more.
