Een luisteraar gaf aan, dat specifiek deze aria hem zoveel troost had geboden in tijden van een ernstige ziekte. Dat vind ik een prachtig gegeven – troost in muziek. Toevallig las ik vorig jaar het boek ‘Troost in muziek, een polyfone blik op de Mattheuspassie’. Kan muziek troosten?
