11: Māori Mythology - It's Storytime!

Kia ora. Hello and Welcome. E noho! Sit! I have a kōrero or story for you today. The Māori kōrero of Creation. There is aroha or love, whanua or family, Nga Atua or Gods and much kakari or fighting, just like all the very best stories.  I have another love story to tell you that happened this week, with much less fighting in it, haha and then you'll hear from some Anchor friends of mine to close it all off.  Hit me up with any questions you have about NZ (or me) and I'll do my best to give it to you "raw and wriggling" as that's apparently how we do it here in NZ. Alien Weaponry is a NZ thrash metal band and this song Kai Tangata translates to Eat people. it's refering to The Māori God Tumatauenga, the God of war. Cannabalism was a part of Māori warfare and this song about the history of that time in all it's grisly truth.
