11 Patterns of DJ Caalaman - Language of Music & Reflection

from Patterns Of Life · host JB Norman Verances

I've known DJ about 3 years now, along with two of his other siblings. My first impression of DJ is quite refreshing. He's a simple guy who knows how to keep a conversation going. He is often the one who reaches out during our Sunday service to ask how I'm doing. Unassuming and genuine showing interest in people, DJ is the person I enjoy conversing. It's like being in a rhythm that resonates much like his enjoyment in playing keys. He's got the mind of an unconventional artist, learning the unpredictability of uncanny. If I can describe him in a few words, he's a Jazz hand and that's sort of a giveaway. His proficiency in theories of music let alone the groove he jams flawlessly got him to take part in artist initiatives like Kickstarter album-slash-book release, live show sessions, and record collaboration. This conversation opened us up to clever insights into how human language is similar to a piano duo. Music can speak to us and has varieties that teach us how we can study ourselves. This episode turned semi-demo session of DJ's display of brilliance, that every chord is one too many ways to play like how we live and learn colorfully.
