11. Reconstruction with Professor Bruce Stuart
from Fortiden Demrer
After the American Civil War, almost 4 million african-americans became US citizens. During the following years, the process of Reconstruction was put in place to integrate the millions of freed slaves. Unfortunatley this would not last long, and the reaction against the freed slaves would by the end of the century make the lives of african-americans worse in many ways. In studio to discuss Reconstruction we are joined by Bruce Stuart, professor at the American History faculty at the University of Bergen.
