#11. In this episode, we are interviewing Somer Baburek, co-founder and CEO of Hera Biotech, and Apoorva Chintala, co-founder and CEO of Clocr. Somer and Apoorva both won the KS WELI pitch competition this spring, Dream to Venture, where they were awarded a $10,000 non-diluted grant. Somer currently serves as the President & CEO of Hera Biotech, a women’s health company focused on commercializing a non-surgical diagnostic for early detection of endometriosis. Somer earned her MBA with a specialization in Data Analytics, from Louisiana State University. Additionally, Somer attended the University of Texas San Antonio where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in entrepreneurship. Apoorva Chintala is the CEO and co-founder of Clocr. She started Clocr in 2018 after her grandfather passed away to help people safeguard and pass on their legacy to their loved ones. She also previously served on the Student Advisory Board of the KS WELI. We hope you enjoy!
