11: Susie & Otto Collins of Relationship Gold

A little about our guests. Susie and Otto are proving the second time is the charm in marriage. Susie scored herself a young stud! They have been together since 1997 and started their business in 1999. Between them they have a son, a daughter and 2 grandchildren.  In the past Otto sold advertising, and Susie was a librarian at Ohio State University. Otto started two of his own companies before creating the business he and Susie created. They live what they teach and take time every day to keep the sparks of love glowing in their relationship.  A little about their business. Susie and Otto’s mission is to help people bring more intimacy to their relationships, open up clear lines of communication and become closer as a couple. They started their business because they were new in their relationship and people around them began to notice how close and loving their relationship was (and is). Others around them wanted to know their secret and so Susie and Otto began giving talks. Then they created a website, an email newsletter, created programs and wrote books about how they created the loving relationship they have and how others can, too.   One piece of advice (the nutshell version) Open your heart and listen to the other person. Honor each other’s strengths. Talk it all out and don’t make assumptions. Don’t ever buy into any of the mythology of how hard it is to work together or what you are and are not supposed to do. The person with the least fear leads. And that can change moment to moment when working together.
